Established in 1985, the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (University of Brunei Darussalam) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the rural setting of the small city of Gadong (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Brunei-Muara. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Negara Brunei Darussalam (Ministry of Education of Brunei Darussalam), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational Bruneian higher education institution.
